DPI Series, or How to Measure Light Using Pixels

Guillaume Delvigne came up with a creative idea for a lighting set. It is called “Dpi series” and features various models which allow differentiated lighting. Why “dpi”? This is short for “dots per inch”, which actually means “pixels”. You’ve probably heard about this term if you are working with computers. If you haven’t, pixels are those very small points that help create a digital image. But enough theory. The designer used this notion and created these lamps, which are also measured in pixels, depending on how many “dots” they have “represented” on them. 300 dpi is the highest for the porcelain lamps and the collection also includes lamps with 74 and 144 dots. Apparently, the “resolution” affects how light is being spread in the room.-viagBlog
